Quick file compression and extraction with several clicks only
|
The work
with zip files has never been so easy. You have 2 "explorers"
on the main window. The first one on the left shows the
files and folders on your computer, just like the Windows
Explorer does. And the second one on the right shows the
files and folders in the opened zip package. To compress
files, just select them in the left pane and press the
button with the right arrow. To extract files, just select
them in the right pane and press the button with left
arrow. |

Open zip archives on web servers
|
This COOL feature
lets you view and extract the contents of zip packages
before starting the download from HTTP servers.
Actually you can open zip archives remotely on web sites
as if they are local files on your computer. In that way
you can save a lot of your time and bandwidth avoiding
the download of unnecessary zip files.

Search for files and text in files inside zip packages
|
This
feature lets you search for files and text in all
zip packages on your computer. Just enter the text you
are looking for, set a few options and BigSpeed Zipper
starts searching in lightning speed and shows the results
in an easy-to-browse list. Select an entry in the list
to view the line of text containing the search string.
A right-click menu lets you launch, view or extract the
file. You can customize the search parameters with a variety
of filters, such as file name, date, and size. |

Simultaneous downloading and viewing of zip packages'
contents
|
There
is a built-in downloader that lets you view and extract
the contents of the zip package while downloading
it. You don't have to wait for the whole 5 MB zip file
to be transferred to your hard drive just to see that
you don't need it. The downloader can resume interrupted
downloads. |

Compressed backups to FTP server or disk drive
|
You can define
backup tasks with various parameters and save it for easy
later use. All files in the backup set will be automatically
compressed to zip packages and will be transferred to
remote directory on FTP server or to local directory on
any disk drive of your choice. |

Automate zip compression operations
|
The Zip
Taskmaster tool lets you automate your routine compression
procedures. You can define and save for easy later execution
frequently used zip compression operations. You can even
create a shortcut on the desktop to run the zip task with
a couple of clicks. |

Integration with Windows Explorer and Windows shell
|
You
can perform the most often used operations on files directly
in Windows Explorer. Right-click to pop-up the context
menu, and choose to zip, unzip, search in, split/join,
upload, or E-Mail the selected files. |

Upload zip packages to FTP servers
|
The
built-in FTP client lets you quickly upload a zip package
to the desired server and remote directory without launching
an external FTP application. |

Send zip packages via E-Mail
|
Use this
feature of the built-in E-mail client to send your zip
packages as E-Mail attachments and save many extra operations
avoiding the external E-Mail tool. |

Synchronize the contents of any zip package with the
corresponding file folder
|
If you want
to work on files at home or on the road, you can use this
feature to help keep the various copies of your files
updated. |

Create self-extracting packages
|
Use this
command to convert the open zip package to a self-extracting
package. Self-extracting packages have an extension of
.EXE and can be run as commands. When a self-extracting
package is being run, the files in the package are automatically
extracted and a predefined program can be launched.
This feature is convenient for distribution
as a compact .EXE file of large read-only documents or
multi-file installation packages. |

Split/Join zip package to user defined file size
|
Use this
feature to split/join an existing zip package (or any
other file) to smaller files with a size of your choice.
This is convenient when a large file must be transferred
over a network or stored on many removable disks. When
you compress to a new zip package, you have a choice to
create multiple volume zip archive, both on removable
drive in automatic mode (multiple disk spanning) or to
fixed drive with custom volume size. |

Repair damaged zip packages
|
When the
zip packages are transferred over Internet, sometimes
they become incomplete because of download break. Such
a package cannot be used by a traditional zip utility.
With this feature you can restore the structure of the
zip file and then open it in the usual way. Although some
of the files in the package are missing, you can still
use the rest of them.

No 4GB file size limit
|
Virtually unlimited file size in extended Zip8 format,
which overcomes the main limitations of the standard PKZIP 2.04g zip format:
4GB maximum file size and 65535 maximum number of files.
